(Frank Tashlin, US 1952, 89 min., 35mm)
A young married couple (Robert Cummings and Barbara Hale) expecting their first baby, soon face up to the challenges of being a parent. Following in the tradition of films like Father of the Bride and The Marrying Kind, Tashlin’s sweet domestic comedy—cleverly narrated by the yet-to-be-born child—alternates outrageous gags with touching scenes. Preceded by Tashlin’s shorts: BROTHER BRAT (1944, 35mm) and PORKY IN THE NORTH WOODS (1936, 16mm).
