More popular than any other film that has recently played the Dryden, Ben Niles’ Note by Note: The Making of Steinway L1037 captured the attention of our audiences, who showed utter fascination with the documentary’s detailed story of what goes into the making of one concert grand. Now you’ll have a chance to see and hear the “star” in person direct from Carnegie Hall! Prior to the screening of Note by Note on December 27, classical pianist and Roberts Wesleyan College Professor Michael Landrum will perform a demonstration on the actual Steinway L1037. Then, on December 28, Rochester’s own Philip C. Carli will perform live piano accompaniment on Steinway L1037 to the delightful Harold Lloyd comedy Girl Shy.
