In addition to the first local screenings of Snow Angels, Shotgun Stories, Viva, Chop Shop, Southland Tales, and Lynch, the Dryden will also present the Rochester Premieres of four more exciting films in March and April.
Immy Humes explores the fascinating life of her father, author and campus guru H.L. “Doc” Humes, in Doc (screening March 8 ). The filmmaker will be present to discuss her work following the screening.

The sound of the Steinway is demonstrated by, among others, Harry Connick Jr., Hélène Grimaud, Kenny Barron, and Marcus Roberts.
The latest from Finland’s greatest filmmaker, Aki Kaurismäki, is Lights in the Dusk (April 4), a noir-ish story of a lonely security guard told with Kaurismäki’s inimitable deadpan style.
Producer Jon Davison (Starship Troopers, Airplane!) will appear in person for the April 26 screening of Searchers 2.0, the story of a road trip to the legendary location of John Ford’s Westerns.
