With Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney crooning a steady flow of Irving Berlin melodies and Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen proving “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing,” Paramount’s most successful musical of 1954 can’t fail to charm. In this follow-up to Holiday Inn, which introduced Bing’s rendition of the title tune, the entertainer foursome heads to a Vermont winter resort in an effort to aid an old friend.
