Hsiao-kang and Shiang-chyi, the separated lovers of What Time Is it There? are reunited in Taipei, but there are new complications: Hsiao-kang has become a star of pornographic movies and the city is facing a serious water shortage which has caused the price of watermelons to skyrocket. While he still employs his patented style of deadpan humor, director Tsai adds colorfully outrageous musical numbers and explicit sex scenes to his palette for this absurdist and controversial comedy.
