The Kid

(Charles Chaplin, US 1921, 60 min.)

The Little Tramp (Charles Chaplin) raises a street-smart orphan (Jackie Coogan) in a series of hilariously picaresque episodes. Chaplin’s first feature as writer, director, and star is one of his most memorably moving, but also one of the most popular comedies of the silent era. Preceded by THE TRAMP (Charles Chaplin, US 1915, 30 min.) Live piano by Philip C. Carli.
