Leaving Kermit and Co. behind, the film marks a collaboration with famed illustrator and conceptual designer Brian Froud. Henson, Oz, and their Muppet crew have created a thoroughly convincing new universe that pays homage to J.R.R. Tolkien, the Brothers Grimm, and Joseph Campbell.
