Copperhead

(program running time: 105 min.)

Dr. Richard Koszarski, award-winning film scholar and author, will deliver our annual lecture named in honor of James Card, George Eastman House’s first curator of motion pictures. Derived from Dr. Koszarski’s newly published book, Hollywood on the Hudson: Film and Television in New York from Griffith to Sarnoff, this presentation will include several short films and animations from the late silent and early sound eras, all made in New York, including Robert Florey’s Skyscraper Symphony (1929) and Felix in Hollywood (1923).
