In Lynch’s most recent feature, Laura Dern stars as an actress cast in a new movie, as well as a battered housewife and prostitute, characters who may or may not be the same person. Meanwhile, another strange plot unfolds when Polish characters and giant rabbits appear in a weird variation of a TV sitcom. Defiantly avoiding traditional narrative techniques and shooting on digital video for the first time, Lynch takes bold steps forward as a storyteller and artist.
