These three films show different guises of Warhol’s glamorous, doomed superstar Edie Sedgwick. In RESTAURANT (US 1965, 33 min., 16mm), Sedgwick dines with friends at her favorite Manhattan eatery, L’Avventura. OUTER AND INNER SPACE (US 1966, 33 min., 16mm) uses dual projections of Sedgwick’s face to reflect her outer and inner turmoil. LUPE (US 1966, 35 min.) is another dual projection and slice-of-life document that ultimately links Sedgwick to the suicide of Hollywood star Lupe Velez.
