In Person! Turner Classic Movie’s Scott McGee. Frank Bullitt (Steve McQueen) is an all-or-nothing San Francisco cop hand-selected by an ambitious politician to protect a witness scheduled to testify against the Chicago outfit. When an attempt on the witness’s life suggests that the assassins knew where to find them, Bullitt goes off the grid, moving the witness to another site, while investigating who the assassins are and who gave them the information. As important the film was to Steve McQueen, it was even more important to the history of stuntmen, and particularly stunt driving. Turner Classic Movie’s Scott McGee will be with us to talk about the film’s place in that history.
