Halloween. Disenchanted with her life, Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) picks up and disappears, only to find herself stuck in a dead end at the Bates Motel. Tracing her footsteps, her sister Lila and detective Milton Arbogast are engulfed by a mystery more insidious than they ever expected. Hitchcock famously claimed that he was “playing the audience like a piano” with this rule-breaking masterpiece of realistic horror.
