A man arriving by train on his way to Helsinki is brutally beaten. Declared dead at the hospital, he suddenly arises and stumbles into the night. Unable to recall who, what, or where he is, the man is befriended by the denizens of a waterfront community and makes the acquaintance of a rock ’n’ roll loving Salvation Army worker who helps him rebuild his life.
