Rita Hayworth is the titular red-headed temptress who leads Glenn Ford into self-destruction. Once lovers, Hayworth and Ford reunite in Buenos Aires as wife and employee of a nightclub owner. Assigned as Hayworth’s watchdog, Ford is taunted by her frequent indiscretions, and sets himself on a course to destroy the very thing he loves.
